CSR

The BITCO group has established several programs that ensure we involve the local communities  in the areas we operate. One of the endeavours we are proud of is the setup of clubs and youth programs in Iraq that have been greatly supported via hosting a full scale and different multi-tier youth tournaments. We have also involved ourselves in different humanitarian activities and through this through such programs.

At BITCO, we define Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)as follows:

• Conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner;
• Protecting the environment and the safety of people;
• Supporting human rights; and
• Engaging, learning from, respecting and supporting the communities and cultures with which we work by providing social programs, training and jobs.

BITCO endeavors that all matters of CSR are considered and supported in our operations and administrative matters and are consistent with BITCO stakeholders’ best interests. BITCO is committed to being recognized as a leader in the field of CSR and recognizes that in doing so, we will add significant value for our shareholders.

This Policy applies to activities undertaken by or on behalf of BITCO. All BITCO employees and contractors will adopt the CSR considerations described in this policy into their day-to-day work activities. BITCO leaders will act as role models by incorporating those considerations into decision-making in all business activities. BITCO’s leaders will ensure that appropriate organizational structures are in place to effectively identify, monitor, and manage CSR issues and performance relevant to our businesses.
